The Top 5 Makeup Myths

Some of us are still following some make-up myths that ruin your skin. Here are the top 5 that I have heard of:

1. To find the perfect foundation colour, match it to your cheek, forehead, hand or wrist.
Due to exposure and environmental stress, your face tends to be a different colour than the rest of your body. The best place to test a foundation colour is your chin or jawline and the colour shold match your  neck.

2. Use a concealer one shade lighter than your skin colour
A lighter colour will accentuate the darkness and make you look even worse! Your concealer colour should match your skin tone exactly.

3. You can't wear eyeshadow that matches your eye colour
Choosing contrasting colours really does make your eyes pop, but don't let this hold you back. wear whatever colours you like! In fact, sometimes matching hues and make the biggest beauty statement!

4. Darker foundation makes you look tan
Wrong! It just makes you look like you chose the wrong foundation colour. If you want to look tanned, try bronzer.

5. Only some women can wear red lipstick
Absouloutely not. There are so many variations of red lipstick that you are guaranteed to find your perfect shade.
